Pac-12The Pac-12 bowl picture didn’t shuffle too much over this weekend.

It’s still not overly exciting, but I think we started to get a little more clear on where different teams likely end up at the end of the regular season. We have some matchups that have stayed the same from last week.

Let’s take a look at our updated Pac-12 bowl projections for this week!

Rose Bowl — Oregon vs. Michigan

2:00 p.m. PT, ESPN, January 1, 2022, Rose Bowl, Pasadena, CA

The Ducks ironically made a big statement for being the team to make the Rose Bowl this year by winning at the Rose Bowl against UCLA on Saturday.

Saturday’s game was one of the toughest left on Oregon’s schedule, and winning makes them the clear favorite to win the Pac-12.

And now the Ducks have a legit chance to make the CFP, though I still think they lose at least one more since they’re playing really tight games with just about everyone in the Conference.

Alamo Bowl — Arizona State vs. Texas

6:15 p.m., PT, ESPN, December 29, 2021, Alamodome, San Antonio, TX

I still don’t think the Sun Devils win the South, but are the second-most appealing team when bowl selections happen.

They slip into the second-best Pac-12 bowl slot and get a marquee matchup they can definitely win.

Las Vegas Bowl — Utah vs. Minnesota

7:30 p.m. PT, ESPN, December 30, 2021, Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, NV

I’m sticking with the Utes winning the South, even after a tough loss to the Beavers.

They will get two shots to beat Oregon and because of that, might end up with 4-5 losses, knocking them a bit down the bowl chain, but still getting them to a very good one.

Holiday Bowl — Oregon State vs. Virginia Tech

5:00 p.m. PT, FOX, December 28, 2021, Petco Park, San Diego, CA

I’m keeping the Beavers in the Holiday Bowl, though I love their chances at winning the conference now after beating Utah.

It probably comes down to if they win in Eugene come November—a very tall task, and I can’t predict them pulling off just yet.

Los Angeles Bowl — UCLA vs. San Diego State

4:30 p.m. PT, ABC, December 18th, 2021, SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, CA

I still think the Bruins land in their hometown bowl, though I’m worried about them fading down the stretch as they’ve struggled defensively in their recent big games.

Sun Bowl — Washington State vs. Boston College

9:30 a.m. PT, CBS, December 31, 2021, Sun Bowl, El Paso, TX

It’s hard to predict where the Cougars will go from here.

I think the Apple Cup will determine if they make a bowl or not and right now I think they do.

Independence Bowl — Stanford vs. UAB

12:30 p.m. PT, CBS, December 18, 2021, Independence Stadium, Shreveport, LA

I’m going out on a major limb here with the Cardinal getting to six wins, but I think they will because their schedule is pretty soft from here.
